Larry Hollar, MD
Dr. Larry Hollar grew up in western NC until he attended NCSU where he majored in chemical engineering. After several years of working in the textile industry and environmental engineering, he moved to Winston-Salem to attend medical school and complete his residency. He then practiced in Beaufort, NC before returning to Winston-Salem to join Novant Medical Group. He is married and has 3 school-aged children. He returns to the coast as often as possible to enjoy fishing, sailing, and diving.
Cecilie Macosko, MD
Dr. Cecilie Macosko grew up in California, but came to the East Coast to earn her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Princeton University. After college, she spent two years teaching high school and residency at Wake Forest University. Dr. Macosko loves caring for patients of all ages at Gateway Family Practice. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and five children. As a family they enjoy running, reading and traveling.
Phedra Hennessee, PA-C
Phedra Lundi is a Physician Assistant that graduated from the University of Florida. She has worked with the National Health Service Corps for three years before relocating to North Carolina to work at Gateway Family Practice. In her spare time she enjoys long distance running, ballroom dance and is in the process of becoming a certified Zumba fitness instructor.
Christian Moretz, MD
Dr. Christian Moretz grew up in Gastonia, NC until he attended UNC-Chapel Hill where he majored in biology. He then attended medical school at East Carolina University and completed his residency in Family Medicine at AnMed Health in Anderson, SC. He practiced for 5 years in Sylva, NC prior to moving to Winston-Salem to join Gateway Family Medicine. Dr. Moretz enjoys providing care to newborns, children, and adults of all ages. He is married and has 3 young sons. Dr. Moretz enjoys hiking, fishing, and tennis.
Erica Russell, FNP
Erica Russell grew up in Wallburg, NC then attended UNC Charlotte where she majored in psychology. She then moved back to Winston Salem and went to the Accelerated BSN program at Winston Salem State University. She worked as a nurse in the Trauma ICU at Wake Forest Baptist Health for 4 years. In 2015 she graduated from Winston Salem State with her MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner degree. Erica enjoys playing softball, going to zumba classes, and watching football with her husband.
